Graduating in 2016 from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Podiatry, Sam has been treating patients ever since in a range of health care settings.

With a background filled with years of sporting participation, including many years of representative Rugby Union, Sam brings with him a unique understanding of the importance of healthy, well functioning feet and the impact and role they play whether you are participating in sport at the highest level or simply walking the dog.

Sam's consults focus on both treatment and patient education. He believes that an informed patient has a better chance of success and uses his knowledge to assist all patients, especially Diabetics, with ways to assist in daily life and risk management.

With Sam, whether you require general nail care, diabetic assessment and education or orthotic therapy, you can be sure that your treatment will be care focused, informative and result in a positive experience.

Poorly controlled Diabetes Mellitus can be extremely harmful to your general health and well being, but in particular to your feet and lower limb. Regular Neurological and Vascular assessments by a trained Podiatrist is crucial in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Corns and calluses can be a painful distraction from your everyday life. Understanding why corns and callus form is crucial to treating them and that's where your trained Podiatrist can help. Removal is often pain free and with help from your Podiatrist, can lead to delaying or even preventing their return.

Foot pain can make even the most simple tasks difficult. The foot is a complex structure and assessing the cause of pain needs a detailed and educated approach. Your trained Podiatrist will conduct a gait analysis watching you walk, examine your footwear, take detailed measurements and obtain medical imagery to help find and treat the cause of your pain.

Foot orthotics are devices that your trained Podiatrist may use to help assist you in your treatment plan. An orthotic can be used to help support your foot and assist with foot pain. Issues such as Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, Osteoarthritis and painful flat feet may all benefit from orthotic therapy.

Ingrown toenails can be an incredibly painful condition making even the most basic of tasks unbearable. At Hunters Hill Podiatry Practice, we offer surgical correction for ingrown nails. Under a strict sterile environment, your trained Podiatrist can utilise Local Anaesthetic to minimise pain and remove the small piece of problematic nail hopefully once and for all!

Hunters Hill Podiatry Practice can also help with a number of other conditions such as

  • Fungal Nails

  • Plantar Warts

  • Damaged or Over-grown Nails

  • Athletes Foot (Tinea Pedis)

  • Footwear Assessments and Advice
